Terms & Conditions

 Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions

1. Voucher validity

  • Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. The expiry date will be clearly shown on the voucher.

  • The voucher must be redeemed against a confirmed booking before the expiry date. The event itself may take place after the expiry date, provided the booking is confirmed before expiry and the event date is agreed with The Cedars Events.

  • Expired vouchers cannot normally be accepted or extended. Any extension will be entirely at the discretion of The Cedars Events.

2. How to redeem your voucher

  • To redeem a voucher, please contact The Cedars Events and provide the unique voucher number.

  • Bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until written booking confirmation has been provided by The Cedars Events.

  • A gift voucher does not guarantee the availability of a particular date, product, prop, service or decoration.

3. What the voucher can be used for

Gift vouchers may be used towards services supplied directly by The Cedars Events, including:

  • balloon decorations and displays;

  • event styling and decorations;

  • LED number hire;

  • shimmer wall and backdrop hire;

  • prop hire;

  • delivery, collection and set-up charges; and

  • other services agreed as part of a quotation.

Vouchers may be used towards the booking deposit or final booking balance.

Refundable prop hire or security deposits must be paid separately and cannot be paid using a gift voucher.

4. No minimum spend and use of voucher value

  • There is no minimum spend when using a gift voucher.

  • Gift vouchers must be redeemed in full in a single transaction. If the total value of the booking is less than the value of the voucher, no cash, credit or remaining voucher balance will be provided, and any unused value will be forfeited.

  • Customers are therefore encouraged to use the voucher towards a booking equal to or greater than the voucher value.

5. Spending more than the voucher value

  • Where the booking value is greater than the available voucher balance, the remaining amount must be paid using one of the payment methods accepted by The Cedars Events.

6. Voucher value and service prices

  • The voucher represents the monetary value shown on it. It does not guarantee the price of a particular service, package, prop or decoration.

  • Services will be charged at the prices applicable at the time the booking is made.

7. Combining vouchers and offers

  • More than one valid The Cedars Events gift voucher may be used towards the same booking.

  • Gift vouchers may be used alongside promotional offers unless the conditions of the particular promotion state otherwise.

  • Gift vouchers cannot be used to purchase another gift voucher.

8. Existing bookings

  • Gift vouchers cannot normally be applied retrospectively to services or bookings that have already been paid for.

  • A voucher may be applied to an outstanding balance on an existing booking only where agreed by The Cedars Events.

9. Cancellations and booking terms

  • Once a gift voucher has been redeemed against a booking, that booking will also be subject to The Cedars Events’ standard booking terms and conditions, including any cancellation, rescheduling and deposit conditions.

  • Where a booking paid for using a gift voucher is cancelled, any refund or credit due under the applicable booking terms will normally be returned to the gift voucher balance rather than paid in cash, unless otherwise required by law.

  • The original voucher expiry date will continue to apply to any reinstated balance unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10. Refunds

  • Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-refundable once redeemed, except where required by law.

  • Where applicable, the purchaser may have the right to cancel an unused voucher purchased online or by telephone within 14 days of purchase. Cancellation requests should be sent to info@thecedarsevents.co.uk.

  • Any refund due following a valid cancellation will be made to the original purchaser using the original payment method.

  • Nothing in these terms affects the purchaser’s or voucher holder’s statutory consumer rights.

11. Transfers and resale

  • Gift vouchers may be given to another person as a gift.

  • Vouchers must not be resold, copied, altered or used for commercial resale or promotional purposes without written permission from The Cedars Events.

12. Lost, stolen or damaged vouchers

  • Gift vouchers should be treated like cash.

  • The Cedars Events cannot guarantee the replacement of lost, stolen, deleted or damaged vouchers. However, we may be able to replace a voucher where the purchaser can provide satisfactory proof of purchase and we can confirm that the voucher has not already been redeemed.

13. Fraud and misuse

  • The Cedars Events reserves the right to refuse or cancel any voucher that we reasonably believe has been copied, altered, obtained fraudulently or used without the voucher holder’s permission.

14. Changes to these terms

  • The terms and conditions in place when the voucher is purchased will normally apply to that voucher.

  • The Cedars Events may make reasonable changes where necessary to comply with legal or regulatory requirements. Any change will not reduce the monetary value of a valid voucher or remove the voucher holder’s statutory rights.
